Those that support harm minimization in drug policy do not look at the Swiss disaster of defacto legalization which has led to –
More people have tried cannabis.
More use cannabis regularly (6.5% of teenagers).
Cannabis does endanger health including; supressing the immune system, increasing cancer, DNA changes, cromosome changes, neuro-toxic affects on the brain, addiction and antimotivational changes.
More toxins in modern cannabis.
Encouraging the taking up of “hard’ drugs, in particular heroin and cocaine.
Drug pushers in and around cannabis cafes.

COMMENT
Harm minimization drug policies do NOT work.
Swiss policies of tolerence and normalization of cannabis use have led to many problems as outlined above.
Cannabis users are usually the most vunerable and need support to change to a drug free lifestyle.
Our courts should be used to divert cannabis users into detoxification and rehabilitation.
More detoxification and rehabilitation programs for cannabis users.
Cannabis must never be legalised or normalised.
Court ordered and supervised detoxification and rehabilitation programs that divert cannabis users into a drug free life.
A reduction in the number of cannabis users.
