TAXPAYER FUNDED SYRINGES HARM ADDICTS

 

Taxpayer funded syringe distribution is harming drug addicts and the community by –

 

·        Helping addicts to continue using drugs

 

·        Helping drug related crime as addicts use crime for heroin money

 

·        Maintaining drug related crime victims

 

·        Waisting police resources on drug related crime and drug pushers

 

·        Promoting drug pushers who sell heroin to addicts

 

·        Keeping addicts away from detoxification and rehabilitation

 

·        Assisting addicts to get infected with hepatitis using syringes

 

·        Diverting taxes away from detoxification and rehabilitation

 

·        Waisting taxes on syringe clean up which should be used to help addicts get off drugs

 

·        Providing syringes as weapons for drug related crime

 

·        Normalizing  and helping maintain drug use

 

·        Sending the wrong message of acceptance of drug use

 

·        Discarded syringes injuring the public

 

We demand -

 Less addicts not more

Don’t normalize drug pushing

Less crime not more

Taxes for syringes must be used to get addicts drug free

More detoxification & effective rehabilitation programs

Prisons & youth centers must get addicts drug free
