SYRINGE MACHINES ARE DANGEROUS

 

Proposals for syringe vending machines are dangerous because –

 

·       Children will have free access to syringes to inject dangerous & illegal drugs

 

·       Criminals will have access to weapons to increase drug related crime as syringes will be used to threaten citizens in crimes

 

·       Crimes using syringes as weapons is increasing

 

·       Criminals that wish to harm people will have free access to syringes that will be left in places where they can jab children and adults

 

·       Syringes purchased from unsupervised vending machines will be left in streets and parks to harm people

 

·       Syringes purchased from unsupervised vending machines will waste taxes in cleaning them up from the community

 

We need-

·       More detoxification and rehabilitation programs.

·       Court ordered detoxification and rehabilitation programs that divert addicts into a drug free life.
