DRUG ADVISORY COUNCIL COMMENTS-
This ease of internet purchase should concern Australians as young people can easily purchase the drug and have it mailed to Australia.
Mephadrone is illegal in Australia and as a relatively new drug on the scene knowledge of its dangers are less researched and well known to users.
Drug users attracted by its cheapness are at greater risks.
Drug users are always seeking new highs so are prepared to try plant food which indicates the well established drug demand in Australia.
With a greater diversity of illicit drugs available- now is the time to introduce an intensive drug demand reduction campaign with a diversion of identified drug users into rehabilitation to get them clean.
THE DRUG ADVISORY COUNCIL OF AUSTRALIA SUPPORTS-
More detoxification & rehabilitation that gets illicit drug users drug free.
Court ordered and supervised detoxification & rehabilitation.
Less illicit drug users, drug pushers and drug related crimes.
