Drug risk dangers not known
Recent research commissioned by the Australian Department of Health has highlighted the lack of knowledge of the dangers of illicit drugs.
Cannabis was seen as the least dangerous illicit drug.
Ecstasy, LSD and Speed were seen as "fun" drugs and being less dangerous than other illicit drugs.
Heroin and Cocaine were seen as the most dangerous illicit drugs.
However, emerging scientific evidence is that ecstasy, which effects the brain function, may lead to a future avalanche of Alzheimer's disease.
