Hollands bad experience with injecting rooms
Holland has been suggested as a good country to copy for drug ideas but the reality is much different, their weak drug policies have resulted in -
- 40% increase in shootings
- 62% increase in robberies
- 62% increase in car thefts
- 50% increase in registered marijuana addicts
- 22% increase in registered addicts for other drugs
In the U.S.A. in 1978 after the drug laws were liberalized and marijuana was legalized, drug use skyrocketed so that 50% of senior high school students had used marijuana in the past year, but after drug use policy was tightened up by the 1980's use of marijuana had plummeted to only 23%.
This proves that a policy of drug prevention, which upholds the notion of no drug use, drug prohibition and drug treatment, is effective in lowering drug use.

DRUG ADVISORY COUNCIL COMMENTS-
By legalizing heroin in injecting rooms there will be more drug addicts & drug pushers.
We must oppose injecting rooms and push for court ordered detoxification & rehabilitation.
THE DRUG ADVISORY COUNCIL OF AUSTRALIA SUPPORTS-
More detoxification & rehabilitation that gets illicit drug users drug free.
Court ordered and supervised detoxification & rehabilitation.
Less illicit drug users, drug pushers and drug related crimes.
